A pic without the vials attached... looks a little less unwieldly. The idea is that you wear that around... and in times of need, you grab a vial of whatever potion you need, cram it into one of 4 ports, and hit the injection lever... it will force the potion directly into your bloodstream and carry out whatever intended effect the potion was suppose to have... e.g., health/mana/stamina/invulnerability/etc.

And the seam down the middle is where the hinge is... allows the manacle to open.
